To fill the void, Altman promotes VP of research Mark Chen to senior VP of research, tasking him with leading the research organization alongside chief scientist Jakub Pachocki. The company also appoints Matt Knight as chief information security officer and names research scientist Josh Achiam as head of mission alignment, with all new leaders reporting directly to Altman.
