OpenAI Targets Small Businesses with New ChatGPT Team Subscription

OpenAI introduces ChatGPT Team, a new mid-tier subscription plan designed for small businesses seeking collaborative AI tools. The plan offers advanced models and admin controls at a price point between the individual and enterprise tiers.

OpenAI launches ChatGPT Team, a new subscription plan designed specifically for small, self-service teams of up to 149 people. This tier provides a dedicated collaborative workspace equipped with administrative tools for easy team management, bridging the gap between individual and enterprise offerings.

Subscribers gain access to OpenAI’s most advanced models, including GPT-4, GPT-4 with Vision, and DALL-E 3, along with robust file analysis capabilities. Team members also create and share custom GPTs without needing any coding experience, allowing them to tailor the AI to specific tasks like checking proprietary codebases or generating branded content.

The plan costs $30 per user per month, or $25 when billed annually, positioning it as a more affordable alternative to the $60-per-user Enterprise tier. OpenAI promises that it does not train its models on Team plan data or conversations, ensuring a higher level of privacy for businesses that are rapidly adopting generative AI for everyday tasks.
