OPPO reveals its 10x lossless zoom technology ahead of its official showcase at MWC 2019 in Barcelona. A company spokesperson confirms that this breakthrough imaging technology meets commercial standards and is fully ready for mass production. The announcement takes place at the 2019 Future Technology Communication Conference in Dubai.
The system relies on a triple-camera setup that features an ultra-wide-angle, an ultra-clear main, and a telephoto lens. These three cameras work together in a relay manner to optimize image quality across various zoom ranges. Additionally, OPPO includes dual optical image stabilization on both the primary and telephoto cameras to keep photos sharp at all magnifications.
A pioneering periscope structure makes this high-magnification zoom possible without adding bulk to the smartphone. By arranging and refracting the lens set laterally, the design maximizes the internal space of the device to house larger optical components while keeping the phone thin and light. OPPO also subjects the camera module to rigorous industry benchmark drop tests to ensure lasting reliability.
