Plaud Unveils Wearable AI Pin and Desktop Notetaker Ahead of CES
Plaud introduces the NotePin S, a compact wearable notetaker with a physical button, alongside a new desktop app for capturing digital meetings. The company aims to compete with established software tools by expanding beyond in-person recording.
Plaud launches the NotePin S, a new wearable AI notetaker that features a physical button for easy recording control. Priced at $179, the device comes with multiple accessories including a clip, lanyard, magnetic pin, and wristband so users wear it however they prefer. It also integrates Apple Find My support to help users locate the device if they misplace it.
The hardware maintains the same core specifications as the previous generation, offering 64GB of storage, 20 hours of continuous recording battery life, and two microphones with a 9.8-foot range. While it has a shorter range and lower battery life than the Note Pro, the NotePin S is smaller and tailored for people who are constantly on the go. Buyers also receive 300 minutes of free transcription per month.
In addition to the new hardware, Plaud introduces a desktop client designed to compete with software notetakers like Granola, Fathom, and Fireflies. The Mac app detects active meetings and captures system audio to generate structured AI notes. Plaud also brings its multimodal input feature to the desktop app, allowing users to add images and typed text alongside the audio transcription.
