Robotics companies raise approximately $1.3 billion in July 2024 through 47 separate investment deals. This total slightly exceeds the 12-month trailing average of $1.2 billion and pushes the year-to-date funding for 2024 to an impressive $9.7 billion. This figure shows significant growth compared to the $8 billion raised during the first seven months of 2023.

Software firms capture the largest funding rounds in July, with Applied Intuition and Skild AI each securing $300 million to advance autonomous vehicle simulation and robotics foundation models. Other major investments include $175 million for Saronic to build autonomous surface vessels for defense and $133 million for Monarch Tractor to expand its autonomous farming technology into new global markets.

The restaurant and hospitality sectors also see notable robotic investments as Botrista Technology raises $65 million for its robotic beverage platform and OakDeer Robotics lands $27 million for food cooking robots. Industry leaders plan to discuss these ongoing funding trends at the upcoming RoboBusiness conference in October, where experts explore shifting investor priorities and strategies for startup funding.
