Meituan plans to use this massive capital injection to develop autonomous vehicles and drones for local delivery services. Other significant funding recipients include Untether AI with $125 million, Path Robotics and Ghost Robotics with $100 million each, and Covariant with $80 million to advance various robotic technologies.
Geographically, United States-based companies dominate the funding landscape with 19 rounds, while China follows with four rounds and Canada, India, and Germany each record three. Seed and Series A rounds represent the most common funding stages, highlighting a strong influx of early-stage capital into the global robotics sector.
