Rockstar Games Suffers Major Security Breach Leaking GTA 6 Assets

A hacker breaches Rockstar Games' internal Slack and Confluence wiki to steal and leak early Grand Theft Auto 6 development materials. The threat actor, known as 'teapotuberhacker', shares 90 debugging videos on GTAForums that showcase unfinished gameplay mechanics, Vice City locations, and voiced NPC interactions. This massive security compromise exposes highly confidential assets long before the game's official release.
The attacker demands extortion money from Rockstar Games to prevent further data leaks and openly solicits bids over $10,000 for the stolen GTA 5 source code on Telegram. To prove the breach is legitimate, the hacker references their involvement in the recent Uber cyberattack and shares extensive snippets of both GTA 5 and GTA 6 source code. Rockstar Games responds by issuing aggressive DMCA takedown notices through its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, to remove the unauthorized videos from YouTube and Twitter.
