Samsung Brings 5G Connectivity to Premium Galaxy Tab S7 Lineup
Samsung adds 5G capabilities to its Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ tablets, with prices starting at $850 and a release date set for September 18.
Samsung fully embraces 5G technology by bringing the next-generation connectivity to its premium Galaxy Tab S7 lineup. The company already integrates 5G across its flagship and mid-range smartphones, and this move makes Samsung one of the first to add the high-speed feature to its top-tier tablets.
The 5G version of the standard Galaxy Tab S7 costs $850, which represents a $200 premium over the Wi-Fi model, while the larger 5G Galaxy Tab S7+ starts at $1,050. Consumers are able to pre-order these connected devices starting tomorrow ahead of their official market launch on September 18.
These new 5G tablets remain a relatively niche product, especially since widespread 5G coverage is still inconsistent and many people continue to work from home using standard Wi-Fi networks. When users find themselves outside of a 5G coverage area, the devices simply revert to standard LTE connectivity to keep them online.
