The company confirms that this showcase also features its upcoming foldable phone, but the flagship S10 remains the true star of the show. Thanks to a steady stream of leaks, consumers already have a very clear picture of what to expect from the new devices.
Instead of adopting a notch, Samsung utilizes its "Infinity O" display with a pinhole cutout for the front-facing camera. The standard S10 features a 6.1-inch screen with a single cutout, while the larger 6.4-inch S10 Plus includes an oblong cutout to accommodate a second front camera. Additionally, Samsung plans to introduce a 5.8-inch budget model that resembles an iPhone XR, potentially dropping the curved screens that define the flagship line.
Powering the standard models is the Snapdragon 855 processor paired with Android Pie, along with significantly improved battery capacities of 3,100mAh for the S10 and 4,100mAh for the S10 Plus. The inclusion of 5G connectivity remains uncertain for the base models, though rumors point to a possible fourth device called the Galaxy S10 X that specifically features the next-generation cellular technology.
