Samsung Introduces PC Game Streaming for New Galaxy Note 10
Samsung unveils PlayGalaxy Link, a feature that lets users stream PC games directly to the Galaxy Note 10 over any connection. The announcement arrives as Apple and Google push heavily into the gaming market.
Samsung reveals PlayGalaxy Link, a new feature that streams PC games directly to the Galaxy Note 10. The company quietly introduces this capability at its recent Unpacked event, allowing users to play their computer games on their mobile device without needing a shared Wi-Fi connection.
The setup process requires users to sign in on their desktop PC and open the PlayGalaxy Link app on the Note 10. A demonstration video shows a user connecting a Samsung Odyssey gaming laptop to a Note 10 nestled inside a gamepad controller, with gameplay happening simultaneously on both machines.
This release marks Samsung's latest effort to compete in the mobile gaming space alongside Apple Arcade and Google Stadia. Because the connected PC handles the heavy lifting, the actual performance relies heavily on the desktop hardware, leaving questions about potential lag and real-world usability for players on the go.
