Debuting on the newly revealed Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Samsung acts as the first Google Cloud partner to deploy Gemini Pro and Imagen 2 on Vertex AI via the cloud directly to consumer mobile devices.
The integration of the multimodal Gemini Pro model allows the Galaxy S24 to seamlessly understand and operate across text, code, images, and video. Users experience these advanced capabilities through built-in summarization features within Samsung-native applications like Notes, Voice Recorder, and Keyboard, all backed by Google Cloud's security and privacy standards.
Additionally, the Galaxy S24 series utilizes Imagen 2 to power safe and intuitive photo-editing tools in the Generative Edit feature of the Gallery application. As part of this broad collaboration, Samsung also serves as one of the first customers to test Gemini Ultra for highly complex tasks and incorporates Gemini Nano as an on-device large language model through the Android 14 operating system.
