Samsung unveils the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra at its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event in San Francisco, marking a major shift in how smartphones operate. Company executives declare that the devices run an intelligent Operating System where AI integrates into every layer rather than acting as a standalone feature. Samsung builds this new AI OS in direct partnership with Google and the Android team to close the gap between AI promises and actual user experiences.
The updated Galaxy AI introduces a feature called Now Brief that generates personalized morning overviews by scanning weather, schedules, and notification histories. This tool automatically surfaces relevant information like restaurant reservations even if the user forgets to add them to a calendar. Additionally, a companion feature called Now Nudge reads the live context of chat conversations to surface helpful information without forcing the user to switch apps.
The new lineup is available for pre-order immediately, with prices starting at $899 for the base S26 model and reaching $1,299 for the S26 Ultra. Units ship to customers starting on March 11. Samsung frames these releases around three core pillars: Reach, Openness, and Confidence, positioning AI as the foundational infrastructure that supports all three goals moving forward.
