Samsung Unpacked Reveals Foldable Phone and Four S10 Models
Samsung unveils the $1,980 Galaxy Fold alongside a new lineup of four Galaxy S10 smartphones and wireless earbuds at its annual Unpacked event.
Samsung unveils a bounty of new gadgets at its annual Unpacked event, headlined by the Galaxy Fold. This foldable smartphone opens like a book to reveal a massive 7.3-inch display, while a smaller 4.6-inch screen sits on the outside cover. The device features six cameras and transitions apps seamlessly between displays, with a starting price of $1,980.
The tech giant also introduces a quartet of Galaxy S10 smartphones to suit various budgets and preferences. The lineup includes the compact $749.99 Galaxy S10e, the standard $899.99 Galaxy S10, the larger S10+, and the 5G-enabled S10 5G. These new phones ditch the traditional notch in favor of a hole-punch front camera design that maximizes screen real estate.
In addition to the new phones, Samsung announces the Galaxy Buds to compete directly with Apple's AirPods. The company rounds out its Unpacked announcements with the Galaxy Fit, a new fitness band designed to track daily health metrics. All of these new devices showcase Samsung's push to expand its mobile ecosystem across multiple product categories.
