Samsung Unveils Galaxy S20 Lineup With 5G and 8K Cameras
Samsung reveals the new Galaxy S20 series, bringing 5G connectivity and massive camera upgrades including 8K video recording to its flagship smartphones.
Samsung officially introduces the Galaxy S20 series during its Unpacked 2020 event, bringing its popular smartphone line into the 5G era. The new lineup includes three distinct models: the standard S20, the larger S20+, and the premium S20 Ultra. All three devices focus heavily on delivering next-generation mobile connectivity and advanced photography features to consumers.
A major highlight of the new S20 series is the state-of-the-art camera system that comes standard on every model. Even the base S20 features a 64-megapixel camera, 30x zoom capabilities, and the ability to shoot video in 8K resolution. The S20 Ultra takes these photography specs even further by offering a massive 108-megapixel camera with 100x zoom and smart AI technology that combines multiple pixels to capture significantly more light.
Beyond the impressive hardware, Samsung partners with major entertainment brands like Xbox, Netflix, and Google to expand the multimedia capabilities of the S20 devices. Pricing for the new lineup starts at $999 for the base S20, reaching up to $1399 for the S20 Ultra, with an official launch date set for March 6, 2020. Samsung even claims that much of the Unpacked 2020 presentation itself is filmed using these new smartphones.
