The Bot Air acts as a moving air purifier that automatically travels between rooms and uses color-changing lights to indicate air quality, while the Bot Care specializes in health monitoring and the Bot Retail assists customers in restaurants and shops.
The most unique introduction is the GEMS, or Gait Enhancing and Motivating System, which offers hip, knee, and ankle exoskeleton models to help people with mobility issues. This wearable device uses IMU sensors to measure hip angles and posture, recognizing different gait phases to provide precise walking assistance.
These robots remain strictly in the research phase without a confirmed launch timeline, but they highlight Samsung's broader strategy to expand artificial intelligence into all of its products beyond just the Bixby digital assistant. Samsung enters a highly competitive field at CES, joining companies like LG, Sony, and various startups that are also showcasing their latest robotic innovations.
