SentinelOne Grabs Scalyr for $155M to Boost Real-Time Security Data

SentinelOne acquires high-speed logging startup Scalyr for $155 million to enhance its real-time data processing capabilities. The integration allows the cybersecurity firm to proactively deflect attacks rather than simply reacting to them.

SentinelOne acquires high-speed logging startup Scalyr for $155 million in a combination of stock and cash to enhance its AI-driven security platform. The cybersecurity company seeks to leverage Scalyr's real-time data lake technology to help enterprise customers process massive amounts of security data more efficiently.

CEO Tomer Weingarten highlights that Scalyr's ability to ingest and analyze data instantly transforms SentinelOne from a reactive tool into a proactive defense system. This real-time processing allows security teams to detect anomalies and deflect attacks before they cause damage, rather than just responding after a breach occurs.

The acquisition integrates Scalyr into the broader SentinelOne ecosystem while keeping it available as a standalone product for existing users. SentinelOne, a heavily funded private company valued at $3.1 billion, plans to invest heavily in Scalyr's research and development to further scale its data analytics capabilities.
