SentinelOne raises $120 million in a Series D funding round to expand its fully autonomous, AI-based endpoint security platform. The startup provides real-time protection for laptops, phones, cloud services, and IoT devices without requiring human intervention. SentinelOne plans to use this new capital to grow its current business and develop new tools that automatically detect and patch software on connected endpoints.

Insight Partners leads the investment round, with participation from Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, NextEquity, and all existing investors. While the company does not officially disclose its valuation, CEO Tomer Weingarten confirms it is an increase from the previous $210 million post-money valuation and is understood to be around $500 million. This latest injection brings the total funding raised by SentinelOne to nearly $230 million.

The substantial funding highlights the rapid growth of the $8 billion endpoint security market, which expands as malicious hackers increasingly exploit human errors like clicking phishing links. SentinelOne reports over 2,000 customers and 300 percent year-over-year growth, attributing its high margins to its automated software-as-a-service model. This funding surge mirrors broader industry momentum, as competitors like Crowdstrike and Carbon Black also reach multibillion-dollar valuations.
