The AFEELA prototype features an impressive array of hardware, including 45 cameras and sensors positioned inside and outside the vehicle. It utilizes 800 TOPS of maximum computing power for its ECU and relies on Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon Digital Chassis for key features like advanced driver assistance, infotainment, and telematics. This heavy sensor integration reflects the company's strong commitment to safety and security.
Beyond just driving, Sony Honda Mobility transforms the vehicle into an entertainment space by blending real and virtual worlds. A new partnership with Epic Games helps drive this initiative to create innovative mobility services. Customers in North America can expect to place pre-orders in the first half of 2025, with sales beginning by the end of that year and actual deliveries starting in the spring of 2026.
