This acquisition positions Splunk as a dominant leader in observability and application performance monitoring across the entire cloud journey. By integrating SignalFx's technology, Splunk significantly strengthens its support for cloud-native applications and modern infrastructure architectures.
Prior to this purchase, SignalFx raises a total of $178.5 million from notable investors and secures major enterprise customers like NBCUniversal, Yelp, and Kayak. Splunk executives state that this addition provides a single platform to monitor the entire enterprise application lifecycle at a massive scale.
