Tesla Adds Stardew Valley to In-Dash Display in Holiday Update

Tesla's upcoming holiday software update brings the popular farming RPG Stardew Valley to the car's in-dash display. The game joins a growing list of parking-only entertainment options designed to occupy drivers while charging.

Tesla vehicles receive a new entertainment option as the popular farming RPG Stardew Valley arrives on the in-dash display. This addition is part of a larger holiday software update shared by Elon Musk on Twitter. Like other games recently added to the Tesla platform, Stardew Valley is playable only while the vehicle is in park.

The cozy farming simulator serves as an ideal way for Tesla owners to pass the time while waiting at Supercharger stations. Players easily lose themselves in tasks like tending to digital crops, exploring mines, or catching fish, making a 30-minute charging session feel incredibly brief. The game joins titles like Cuphead and classic Atari games in the Tesla arcade.

Musk's announcement also mentions a sneak preview of Tesla's Full Self-Driving feature and a mystery game called Lost Backgammon. While details on the self-driving preview remain vague, the holiday update is expected to roll out to compatible vehicles very soon.
