Tesla attributes this success to significant progress in streamlining its global logistics and delivery operations, which previously served as a major bottleneck for the company.
Looking ahead, Tesla indicates that this record is not a temporary blip, as second-quarter orders actually exceed deliveries. The company enters the third quarter with a healthy backlog that includes over 7,400 customer vehicles already in transit, though it plans to stop disclosing this specific metric in future reports.
