Tesla offers the vehicle in standard, long-range, dual-motor all-wheel drive, and performance variants. The performance version accelerates from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 150 mph.
Pricing for the Model Y starts at $39,000 for the standard-range version, which provides a 230-mile range but does not enter production until spring 2021. The long-range, dual-motor, and performance models arrive first in fall 2020, starting at $47,000, $51,000, and $60,000 respectively. Elon Musk offers a bullish prediction, stating that Model Y sales will eventually exceed the combined sales of the Model S and Model X.
