Electronic Arts brings a new layer of virtual reality to The Sims 4 by introducing Lin-Z, an in-game smart assistant. The device features a glowing green diamond and functions much like Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri. Players interact with Lin-Z to play music, tell jokes, answer trivia questions, and control smart home lighting.
Beyond simple entertainment, the virtual assistant helps Sims manage their daily lives by ordering various services. Users command Lin-Z to request food delivery, schedule gardening, or call for repair professionals. This new feature is available this week for The Sims 4 on both PC and Mac platforms.
In a fun twist that blurs the lines between the game and reality, the real Amazon Alexa also receives new Sims-related skills. Real-world users in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and India can now ask Alexa to play music from the game's soundtrack or test their knowledge with Sims trivia.
