Tractable Reaches $1B Valuation as First Computer Vision Unicorn in Finance
Tractable raises $60 million in a Series D round, reaching a $1 billion valuation to become the first computer vision unicorn for financial services. The company plans to use the funds to expand its AI photo assessment tools beyond auto accidents into used car sales and natural disaster recovery.
Tractable raises a $60 million Series D investment round led by Insight Partners and Georgian, bringing its total funding to $115 million and pushing its valuation to $1 billion. This milestone makes Tractable the world’s first computer vision unicorn in the financial services sector. The company achieves this valuation after reporting an impressive 600 percent revenue growth over the past 24 months.
The company develops AI software that analyzes photos of damaged vehicles to provide immediate appraisals for insurance claims. Currently, over 20 of the world's top 100 auto insurers rely on this technology to speed up decisions on car repairs and total losses. Major clients already include industry giants like GEICO, Tokio Marine Nichido, and Mitsui Sumitomo.
The new funding allows Tractable to expand its core accident recovery business while launching new AI solutions for the used car market and natural disaster relief. The company is working with LKQ North America to optimize vehicle recycling and partnering with a Japanese insurer to assess property damage from typhoons using user-submitted photos.
