Alongside the extended timeline, the order requires ByteDance to destroy all TikTok data associated with US users and notify the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States upon completion. Despite this extension, ByteDance still plans a legal challenge against the administration, while a separate 45-day ban order remains in effect for Tencent's WeChat.
