Krishnan collaborates directly with David Sacks, who recently assumes the position of Trump’s crypto and AI czar. The former venture capitalist brings extensive tech industry experience to the White House, having led product teams at major companies like Microsoft, Twitter, Facebook, and Snap. His background also includes a close working relationship with Elon Musk, whom he assisted during the 2022 rebuilding of Twitter following Musk's acquisition.
Prior to this government appointment, Krishnan leaves his role at a16z in late November after leading the firm's expansion into London. He advocates for innovative frameworks regarding AI and data sharing, previously calling for new mechanisms to allow websites to exchange value with AI chatbots rather than relying solely on legal action or content alliances.
