Ubisoft Unveils Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Uplay+ at E3

Ubisoft takes center stage at E3 2019 to showcase a heavy lineup of established franchises and live service updates. The publisher reveals Watch Dogs Legion as its biggest release, featuring a unique permadeath mechanic where every citizen in a dystopian London serves as a playable character. This innovative approach allows players to recruit anyone, from a tea-drinking grandmother to a skilled hacker, to join their resistance movement.
Beyond Legion, Ubisoft announces Rainbow Six Quarantine as a surprise new spin-off and introduces Uplay+, a new PC-focused subscription service. The company also provides a look at Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which promises a weirder narrative with Terminator tie-ins and a shift away from the empty open-world feel of its predecessor. Breakpoint is set to launch on October 4 following a beta in early September.
The press conference dedicates significant time to updating its growing roster of live service games. Rainbow Six Siege receives a new U.S. Secret Service operator and the Operation Phantom Sight season, while The Division 2 and For Honor also get substantial new content drops. These ongoing updates reinforce Ubisoft's strategy of supporting existing titles long after their initial releases.
