U.K.-based AI infrastructure hyperscaler Nscale raises $2 billion in a Series C funding round, marking the largest such round in European history. Led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries with participation from major tech and finance firms like NVIDIA, Dell, and Citadel, the investment values Nscale at $14.6 billion.
The company plans to use this massive capital injection to accelerate the global deployment of its vertically integrated AI infrastructure. This expansion includes GPU compute, networking, data services, and orchestration software across data centers located in Europe, North America, and Asia.
Alongside the funding, Nscale welcomes Sheryl Sandberg, Susan Decker, and Nick Clegg to its Board of Directors. The company emphasizes that accelerated computing platforms drive the current global AI shift, positioning Nscale to address the growing market demand for scalable AI infrastructure.
