The U.K. media watchdog Ofcom publishes its first annual report on regulating video-sharing platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, Twitch, Vimeo, and OnlyFans. These rules require the platforms to take active steps to protect minors from age-inappropriate material and shield all users from content that incites violence, hatred, or criminal offenses such as terrorism and child sexual abuse.
This regulatory framework acts as a preview of the much broader Online Safety Bill, which faces significant delays.
