Global venture funding reaches $39.6 billion in November, maintaining the strong momentum seen in October and marking a 28 percent increase year over year. Investors heavily concentrate their capital into the largest companies, with 43 percent of all funding going to just 14 startups that raise rounds of $500 million or more. This marks the highest number of megarounds in a single month in the past three years.
Artificial intelligence dominates the investment landscape, capturing 53 percent of global venture funding with over $20 billion directed toward AI-related startups. The largest round of the month goes to Jeff Bezos' Project Prometheus, which raises $6.2 billion to tackle physical intelligence. Other notable billion-dollar rounds include AI coding startup Anysphere raising $2.3 billion, AI data center provider Lambda securing $1.5 billion, and future event betting platform Kalshi obtaining $1 billion.
The United States accounts for over 70 percent of global venture capital in November, up from 60 percent in the previous month. China follows as the second-largest market with $2.4 billion, while the U.K. and Canada each surpass the $1 billion mark. Beyond AI, hardware and financial services emerge as the other top sectors, with significant investments flowing into data centers, robotics, defense technologies, crypto, and payments.
