Waymo officially launches the nation's first commercial autonomous ride-share service, known as Waymo One. The program provides customers with rides in self-driving vehicles 24 hours a day, though the service currently operates only in the Phoenix metropolitan area, including Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler.
