Xiaomi Mi 9 Arrives in Europe on February 28th Starting at 449 Euros
Xiaomi confirms its powerful Mi 9 flagship launches in Europe on February 28th with aggressive pricing. The company also reveals a 5G version of the Mi Mix 3 at the Barcelona press conference.
Xiaomi reveals that its latest Android flagship, the Mi 9, lands on European store shelves on February 28th. The phone starts at €449 for the 64GB model and rises to €499 for the 128GB version, offering high-end specifications for a notably lower price than competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S10. The handset features a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM, and a 3,300mAh battery.
The Mi 9 runs Android Pie with Xiaomi's custom MIUI skin and includes modern touches like an under-display fingerprint sensor and quick charging. Around the back, a triple-camera system combines a 42-megapixel primary shooter, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera. Notably, none of these cameras include optical stabilization, and the phone comes in Piano Black, Ocean Blue, and Lavender Violet color options.
In addition to the Mi 9, Xiaomi takes the opportunity to announce a 5G variant of its Mi Mix 3 slider phone. This new 5G model utilizes the Snapdragon 855 processor to deliver next-generation network speeds. With its strong specs and budget-friendly price point, the Mi 9 presents a compelling option for European buyers willing to navigate the MIUI software experience.
