Zoho Bets on Serverless With New Catalyst Microservices Platform

Zoho launches Catalyst, a cloud-based developer platform built entirely around serverless computing and event-driven microservices.

Zoho introduces Catalyst, a new cloud-based developer platform that focuses specifically on microservices. Unlike larger competitors that offer virtual machines and containers, Zoho makes a complete bet on serverless technology to help developers build enterprise applications without managing underlying operating systems or databases.

The platform allows developers to build, run, and manage event-driven applications while accessing built-in tools from Zoho's existing product suite. Users leverage features like grammar checking, document previews, and Zia AI capabilities for tasks such as OCR, sentiment analysis, and predictions.

Catalyst provides tools to orchestrate microservices and scales applications automatically as needed. The platform integrates seamlessly with existing CI/CD pipelines and IDEs while maintaining strict compliance with SOC Type II, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards.
